In 1999, two fishing
buddies, Winfred and James, decided that they needed some
really well insulated bait boxes to keep their bait cool and
fresh during the searing Alabama summers. The boxes they designed
not only did a great job of keeping their bait insulated against
the heat, but were sturdy enough to sit on, and yet they would
float in water. The two friends felt that their high quality
bait boxes were something that they could build a business
around, and began discussing the idea.
Some time before
this, early in the summer of 1997, James had been tinkering
with some scrap metal, and made a replacement for his tubular
fishing pole holder. His new creation, made with a little
welding and bending, had a hinged design, and made it easier
to get the pole in and out.
He had experimented
with using the pole holder, but neither he nor Winfred ever
really gave much thought to the little gadget. Until one day
it hit them -- if *they* found this holder useful, other fishermen
would like it, too. After giving it some thought, they realized
that the design of their pole holder was actually quite revolutionary!
They spent several months improving the design, and early
in 2001, they formed Keeper Manufacturing.
Keeper is committed
to making quality products for serious fishermen, like themselves.
All of our products come with a 30 day money back guarantee
as well as a one year repair/replacement warranty against
defects in materials and workmanship. And if you happen to
drop some clamping screws out of the boat, we have replacement
parts available for a modest fee.
